Positions: Hostess

JOB DESCRIPTION OF HOSTESS

      • Welcoming the guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner. Anticipates the Guests needs and acts accordingly.
      • To promote personalized service and ensure guest satisfaction, delivery of prompt and courteous service.
      • Prompt and courteous delivery of all orders, maintain positive image through all areas of guest contact and through cleanliness of guest areas.
      • Bring into effect the superior product and service expected for our guests in accordance with policies and procedures adopted by the Hotel.
      • To coordinate with other departments to ensure that guest requirement are designed in timely manner.
      • Develop thorough knowledge of hotel facilities including the timings, charges, cuisine served in different outlets and offer assistance to place orders.
      • Develop good knowledge of the city to be able to offer suggestions if required.
      • Checks for lost and found items immediately on check out and return the same to the guest before checks out.
      • Check the guest details/all relevant information before the guest arrives, i.e. Name, billing instruction, all the preferences & keep inform all the departments accordingly.
      • Greet and welcome the guest when Restaurant Manager introduce host/hostess with the guest.
      • Explain the facilities to the guest.
      • Arrange a property show around as per the guests convenient time.
      • Promote and practice friendly and courteous hospitality.
      • Coordinate with HK and F&B team for any special/surprising arrangements required.
      • Coordinate with leisure team for any kind of activity is planned.
      • Develop Suggestive Selling to generate more revenue.
      • Follow all standard procedures in serving the guest, as outlined in SOPs.
      • Follow all safety policies to ensure a safe work area. Be familiar with emergency procedures in order to assist guests if/when needed.
      • Fills up guest history for future correspondence.

JOB DESCRIPTION OF STEWARD

    • Have a thorough knowledge of the outlet.
    • Up selling of the food & beverage.
    • Deliver professional, courteous, and efficient service to the Guest.
    • Greet Guests and build rapport by asking questions and initiating conversation.
    • Offer suggestions by using suggestive selling techniques (daily specials, cocktails, appetizers, entrees, desserts, and after dinner beverages).
    • Follow the established table service procedures.
    • Maintain tables.
    • Complete assigned side work and duties.
    • Present Guests their cheque and settle payment.
    • Practice teamwork by helping co-workers.
    • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager.

    • Manage department operations, including budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and waste management.
    • Lead of the Bar team and ensure ongoing development of Team Members.
    • Identify an effective approach to succession planning.
    • Ensure the consistent display of high quality of service.
    • Develop positive customer relations through proactive interaction with Guests, Team Members, superiors and management.
    • Resolve, promptly and completely, any issues that may arise in the service areas among Guests and Team Members.

    F & B CONTROLLER

    • To study, analyze and report on all variances pertaining to costs and inventory management.
    • To verify duty meals and entertainment checks in line with hotel laid down procedures and prepare a daily audit report for approval of Finance Controller, Director of F & B and General Manager.
    • Verify daily void cheques report and prepare for approval of FC, Director of F & B and General Manager.
    • Perform daily and monthly food and beverage sales reconciliation and ensure all deviations are explained by concerned department head.
    • Coordinate closely with Chef for obtaining all Inter departmental transfers.
    • To manage the hotel monthly inventory process in the strict respect of the hotel policies.
    • To coordinate with the daily receiving and storekeeping activities.
    • To ensure that all goods movements in/out the hotel and stores are accounted for and properly supported.
    • To ensure the implementation of and compliance with all prevailing cost control policies and procedures by all departments.
    • Ensure all recipes are updated in the system and maintain records of all recipes then approve for new menu creation.
    • Monitor liquor Inventory on daily basis and conduct surprise audits.
    • Ensure all cost is allocated appropriately.
    • Responsible for asking wastage reports from various operational departments.
    • Maintain all Excise Records as per local law requirement.
    • To report on the daily and monthly F&B costs.
    • Monitor Mini Bar stocks, consumption vs. revenue.
